NEW YORK CITY – January 29, 2016 – Business Intelligence Associates, Inc. (BIA), a leader in eDiscovery and Managed Legal Services, announced today that Robin Thompson, BIA’s VP of Marketing and producer of its nationally recognized educational programs has been elected to the Board of Directors of ARMA International.
“Robin is a true leader in this industry, and we’re thrilled that ARMA’s members too have recognized Robin’s leadership and knowledge in tapping her for the ARMA Board,” said Brian E. Schrader, BIA’s President. “We are very proud of Robin’s many accomplishments and congratulate her on her election to the ARMA Board.”
Over the years, Robin has seen eDiscovery and related legal compliance concerns become an integral part of information governance. Indeed, Robin has been a proponent of eDiscovery becoming a part of the overall governance family, and has been thrilled to see it grow and become a valuable community of practice. She continues to promote that integration through her support of various initiates at ARMA and other organizations, and it’s an important part of the educational program she oversees at BIA.
“I am so honored to be able to give back to an organization that has helped shape my career and given so much to me over the years. From the first time I walked into a chapter in Houston over 10 years ago right through to today, I continue to find value, fellowship, networking and the best in education,” said Robin Thompson. “I intend to work hard to justify the faith of the membership whom we all serve,” added Thompson.
Along with Thompson, Ilona Koti, MLS, MS IM, CRM, PMP, CDIA+ of ARK-IGC LLC joins the International Board as President-Elect and Michael Haley, IGP, of Radian Guaranty joins as treasurer in terms that begin on July 1 of this year.
