NEW YORK, Sept. 4, 2013 Business Intelligence Associates (BIA) a leader in eDiscovery software and services solutions, announced its contribution to Ohio Freedom, an Ohio-based project that provides school supplies to students in need.
This is the second year that BIA has banded together to contribute to Ohio Freedom. BIA’s VP of Technical Services, Daniel Rivera, traveled to Willard, Ohio, nearly 100 miles West of Cincinnati, to present the gift to nearly 200 school students in the Midwest town. Willard, Ohio has one of the highest unemployment rates of any city in Ohio, and claims a large population of undocumented children in need of basic things like school supplies.
“Giving back, and making donations like the donation we made to the Ohio Freedom project is an important part of our company culture at BIA,” said Rivera. “We’re so proud to be able to come to Ohio and help out these young students in need, for the second year in a row! I genuinely hope we’re able to do the same next year as well.”
BIA’s contribution, in conjunction with the Salvation Army helped to provide things like pens, scissors, folders, rulers, crayons, markers and backpacks to these students before the start of their school year.
“BIA is so proud to participate in events like Ohio Freedom not only because of its clearly worthy cause in helping children with back to school essentials, but also because events like these personify the team spirit and camaraderie that is the very DNA of our corporate culture, and makes all the difference in our services teams,” said Robin Thompson, VP Marketing.
